I don't really know why I'm posting this, but I'll do it anyway. I've been so bored today. I'm sleepy but can't get to sleep. Anyway, I'm gonna go try.

The Cantata
Last night's performance was incredible, one of the best ever presented by our church. I know it impacted onne of my friends from work, Tanner. Brittney was there, Julie had brought her. They asked me if I wanted to go out to Chile's and I said no, with much hesitation, but cause I had to stay and take pictures. She seemed fine with that and said it was nice to see me. I'm so confused, but I think it's all good now. If anyone actually reads this please pray for Tanner and Brittney, and that I'd be a good testimony for Christ.

The drama continues...
I went into work last night to find that Brittney had gotten somebody to cover her shift (not suprising since Julie invited her to go caroling.) So that was fine, and then I come to church this morning. Erin walks up to me and asks where I was last night. I said I was at work, and she said that brittney was asking about me alot (in a good way). So I dunno. She said Brittney was gonna be there tonight, at the second Cantata. So I thought the issue was resolved, but apparently not. So all I can do is hope she still isn't expecting me to pick her up for the cantata, and see how things go.

[type something clever here]
Wow my arms hurt. They're cramping like crazy from that work out. Matt was Stephen and Mine's private fitness coach, because he knows all the techniques because he has a membership to Better Bodies. We worked on Biceps and Triceps, for over an hour, and I'm feeling it. ouch.
The rest of the story
So basically we hung out for a bit, in the pool hall. After a bit my sister took me aside and pointed out to me that Brittney "wasn't alright". Pretty much I already knew that. And I didn't really like Brittney like that anyway, and I had no idea how I got there. So after a while of waiting around for a pool table to open up, and endruring excessive and silly flirting from Brittney and one of her friends, Page, my sister came around with her store's group there, and asked me to come and play some games in the arcade with them. So I asked Brittney if that was alright (though I don't know why) and she nodded. So I went with them (and very glad to do it) and basically had a blast playing ski-ball. I never thought I'd want to get away from a girl or flirting, but I did that time. (I know that sounds weird). So anyway I basically ditched Brittney, though and walked in fear of meeting her there again. Later on whole I was playing a game of pool with a guy from Melanie's store, Brittney and page came up to me and started asking questions and teasing about where I'd gone. And by the end of the conversation, I think I had for the most part got the point across to Brittney that I couldn't spend the evening with her, because my sister didnt' like her (although I hope she got the point I didn't either). So they left as I cleaned up the table. I spent the rest of the night with my sister's group, bowling, which was great fun. My sister was always on the lokout for "that slut". Which I didn't really mind, although I was already thinking of what working with Brittney was going to be like after this night. I noticed Brittney in my seat, behind me as I was listening to John (The Sonic Group owner) give the plan for the night. I ignored her. By the time the announcments were done she and her freind had left (fhew!). I continued to bowl another few turns, then I decided I'd go over to the bowling for cash lanes, (the idea as simple as it sounds). While I was waiting in line, Page came up to me and asked me right out, "Do you like Brittney?" I hesitated, then replied, "I'd like her better as a friend." "Okay" she said, and walked away. That was the last I spoke to either one of them. On the way home, while I was pondering what I was going to do about all the other things Brittney was coming with me to, Melanie reassured me that she might hate me for a while, but she'd ge over it, and go get some other guy.
So now you've read my story, and though it may not look like much, it was a new experience for me. One I'm not sure I wouldn't have rather avoided, but hey, it had to happen sometime. So now I'm sitting down at the computer, eating the best yam I've ever had (from East Texas), feeling very depressed and like a sheltered little home schooler. I'm still wondering how this effected my testimony as a Christian. And though it may sound very weird, I'd have'd to say, for now, I like girls better as friends, having been though this. Anyway, you see now why I say I'm an idiot. Sarah left a comment that kind of cheered me up. I mean hey, maybe it doesn't really matter.
I have to stay home from church tonight, because we have to study for our final tommorrow, and this is a very big bummer, and partially the reason I'm depressed, because I think Jenny would've been there. ;-)

I feel I must explain...
Yes, I know what a girlfriend is like now, and I've got to say I agree more with my parents and their reasons against dating than ever. (Especially an unsaved girl) So here's the story:
My parents drop me off at Brunswick Zone at 7:26 PM –4 minutes before we're (me and Brittney) supposed to meet. So I wait around by the door for a bit, meet my sister there, and wait a bit longer. Around 7:45 I look around in the crowd of Sonic people and there she is, with her grandpa. I went up to her and gave her a hard time about not meeting me at the door. She laughed and then introduced me to her grandpa. He said, “I need someone to take care of and protect my little girl.” Brittney then said, “Andy will do that. Right Andy?” With this she gave me the most adoring, enticing look I’ve ever gotten. And I (who was feeling like a jerk right about now) said, “Yes, I’ll do that.” From that moment on I knew I was in trouble, and I didn’t know how to get out of it.

Crazy Week
Today I found out that the company party isn't tommorrow night but reather tonight, monday night. So I'm hoping Brittney figured it out. Stephen, Matt, and my self are going to pump iron tonight before I go bowling. That way my arms will be all rippling when I lift the 11 pound ball. lol. Anyway, she wanted me to take her, but I told her I'd just have to meet her there. And my sister is gonna be there, what could go wrong? Pray for me that nothing does. Pray that I would draw her attention not to me, but instead to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Saturday
Well, it's like 1 in the morning here, and I'm still up. I went to work at Sonic today, and it went pretty well. We're finally getting busy again, so that means I get more tips. Tonight was interesting because I worked with Brittany. I've worked with her before, and I can tell she want to be my gf. But tonight was awesome. I don't know how commited she is at school, but she was giving all the other guys at work the cold shoulder. Only problem with this whole arrangement is that my parents won't let me date. (And I agree with them and their reasons). But anyway I'm taking her to the company party on tuesday. and skiing later next month, and to the cantata...WHAT AM I DOING???? (she's pretty hot)

On this date in history...
Well, I went to see The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe
in the theaters today. It was amazing! I never thought I'd like a fairy-tale, but I did like this one a lot. I did notice a lot of symbolism that Lewis must've intended, which I didn't expect in a movie. And the Graphics! Stunning! I could hardly tell they weren't actual video. I'm definitely going to have to read the actual books now. Next on my movies-to-see list are: The Legend of Zorro, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and Syriana.
Anyway, just a little something bout Sonic, I'm ready to quit and go work at Bass Pro Shops. Well, I'd better go now, long day of fixing cars tomorrow.

Heat Wave!!!
Wow. It must've gotten up to 25º today. Yesterday the high was 5º, so it's all relative. I took my ear training final today. It went alright. The rest of the final is on Thursday of next week.

School is really getting to be a drag
For the past three semesters I've been attending Metro State College, taking a music theory class. Well I've had it! I used to like it, but I'm not really enjoying it anymore. We've gotten to the end of the tonal system, and it's driving me nuts. Anyway, I don't think I'll be taking 20th century music, even though everybody says its the best one. ohwell. If I don't take it then that saves my family a lot of $$$ and me lot of time. And then I can hang out with John more. I still might take a spanish class from CCA, but we'll see.
It's snowing pretty hard here and is 6º F, with a stiff 15 mph wind, it's cold. Anyway, I've got to get back to regular school.

tired, bored, and feeling depressed

Well, it's nine o'clock right now. I went to bed at eight, cause for some reason I was really tired. Then I decided to get up and write some about my week. I'm listening to "Nobody's Home" by Avril Lavigne right now, and it matches my mood perfectly. My friend John came up from Texas this last week with his mom. They used to go to my church back in 1999. Wow... that was seven years ago. I had an awesome time, I only hope John can say the same.
We went skiing at Keystone, although we had to jump through some hoops, actually a l
ot of hoops, but we did it just the same. It was awesome! John hasn't been skiing since he lived here– seven years– so naturally he was a bit rusty. Although I have to admit I thought he would be a little bit better than he was. It was a blast though, staying on greens and easy blues, which I normally don't do. And I'd have to say I improved on keeping my edges parallel. It just so happened that it was night ski date at Keystone that day, the twenty-third of November, so we got 10 and a half straight hours of skiing in. John was really doing great by the end of the night. He only biffed (sp?) twice really, one of which was pretty seriously
(His legs were facing opposite of him wrapped snuggly around a downed pine tree, and his head was resting on a jagged stump! We found a ski pole sixteen feet away.) We ended up going back up the lift 5 more times after we "decided" that we would make that our last run. It was great. My Camelback froze stiff on the last run down, so it was pretty cold, but it didn't hold a candle to what we would experience later that week.On the way up to the ski resort, it brought back very strong memories of months earlier, driving around East Texas in his '69 Chevy Custom. Wow. Although the squealing Toyota half ton hardly is the same, mostly in the audio and horsepower arena. But still, the freedom! We both burned a hundred dollars that day.
The next day was spent at my Aunt's house, celebrating Thanksgiving Day. That was pretty much boring except for the food, just like every thanksgiving. I did get to play my Mandolin with my Dad and John for a bit, good times.
Then Friday rolled around. That night we would be leaving to go on a long weekend hunt up north of Dillon, in unit 28. This was John’s first Rocky Mountain big game hunt. What an introduction! I'll tell you right off we didn't get anything. Before going up there we checked the weather and as luck would have it, there was a winter storm advisory in effect. But we press on, prepared (most of us.) I forgot to bring a thermometer, so we had no definite say on the temperature that weekend. But Sunday was an especially cold morning, my Dad argued that it wasn't much below freezing, while Daniel, John, and myself contended that it was closer to the mid teens at most. Anyway, my feet, clothed in wool hybrid socks and insulated boots, were without feeling. I hate to use the word "numb" because it doesn't contain the feeling (or absence of feeling.) I took my foot out of the boot while I was in the truck, in order to put on hopefully warmer socks. When I took my sock off, it hung it the air, stiff, in the shape of my foot. I slapped my foot pretty hard, all over, didn't feel anything. My feet did warm up about two hours later while we were "park-hunting" in "the beast" Ford Explorer (equipped with front and rear posy traction, and heavy duty chains on all four all-terrains.) There was nary a road that truck couldn't ride easily on. We did stop at a promising looking road to hike up, because we had gotten a good seven inches of powder snow since yesterday's hike, and the woods were too dangerous. We hiked about 2 miles up, and two miles down. That just about killed John I think, literally, because he's used to 235 feet above sea level.
The next morning I heard tales of a second ice age in the trunk where John was bunked. He still hadn't recovered from last night's trauma, so my Dad, Daniel and I set out without John to hike up a road. I was wearing my dad's over-sized work boots, because I couldn't get my foot in my boots, because the leather was slightly damp when I went to bed the night before, and those boots had froze hard as a rock. I couldn't budge the leather. When I left our car camp I had no idea that we'd be out all day (our last day). I really got nothing seriously hurt except for my pride, because I had been dusted by two people older than me. ohwell.
Well, we got to Dillon and stopped at Arby's to grab a bite to eat. On the way back out to the car we noticed that McDonald's had a giant thermometer display. What it read partly settled the former arguments. It read "7º F" Sorry, that's cold! We had to stop several times on the way down to fix Daniel's car, because his thermostat was stuck open, bringing the cab temperature down to the outside ambient temperature. That was pretty much the coldest part for me, and I was suited in ski clothes. I figure it was a bit colder ambient temperature than down in Dillon, and there were high wind warning sign all over the place. That wind was going right through my ski jacket. brrr!
The next day was John's last day here, as he had to return to "business." (heh!) So we went to Bass Pro for a couple of hours, basically he thought it was pretty cool. Overall I'd say I learned one thing– when I'm down in Texas I get a kick out of tormenting John, and when he's up here, he got a kick out of annoying me. Even though we might not of had a tree fort to work on, or a truck to sneak girls out to the movies in, we still had a lot of fun. I'm gonna have to say though, until I get my Duster 340, I'd rather go down to Texas, and I'm pretty sure John would like it better also.
now it's 10:30

post 1
Well, this is my first real post. This isn't quite as cool as I thought it was, I still would rather make my own, but it's to much work.
So anyway. I went to the new Bass Pro Shops that just got put in at Stapelton today. it's incredible... it's the biggest store like that that I have ever seen. I was only there for an hour so I didn't see even half the store. but they have this sweet little "shooting gallery" that's like little 22's w/ lasers in the barrels that you shoot at things in the range. and those things react with sound effects. I can't wait to bring my little cousin there. it'll be awesome!
My friend is coming up here from texas sometime soon. he hasn't really told me when. I can't wait!
